100 hour Yin Yoga & Variable Anatomy Teacher Training

with Angus Knott

April 26 - 28, May 3 - 5 & 17 - 19

2024 IS NOW SOLD OUT.

We are thrilled to be offering our 4th 100 hour Yin Yoga & Variable Anatomy Teacher Training with Good Folk legend, Angus Knott.

Join us as we embark upon a truly soul-nourishing journey into the world of Yin Yoga.

Led by senior Good Folk teacher, Angus Knott, you will delve deep into functional anatomy theory and learn how this relates to your own body and self-practice.

You will learn how to adapt all Yin Yoga shapes and further your knowledge of teaching these adaptations to other bodies.

What will I learn?

  • The origins of yin yoga

  • A detailed study of the shapes, with a large focus on in depth functional and variable anatomy

  • A greater understanding of your own body structure

  • Taoism philosophy introduction and an insight into Chinese Medicine theory with Dr. Hannah Watson of Acupuncture Wellness Co.

  • An introduction into teaching yoga and movement from a Trauma Informed perspective with Kathy Taylor, Trauma Informed Yoga teacher and founder of Exhale and Be

  • A daily 2-hour yin class, integrating your knowledge into practice

  • Yin Meditation and Pranayama techniques

  • The opportunity to practice teaching throughout the course (if you want to) with feedback

How will the course be structured?

The course consists of three 3-day modules, held from Friday to Sunday. Each day will begin with a morning Yin practice live from home. We will then spend time together in the studio, where you will participate in interactive lectures with an extended focus on functional anatomy with particular attention to how this relates to your own body.

Do I need to be a teacher to attend?

Not at all! This training is truly inclusive of everyone, teachers and yin-lovers alike.
Whether you plan to teach, or just want to soak in knowledge to enhance your personal practice, what you learn with us will be an absolute game changer for how you personally practice every method of movement.

Angus’ past student Testimonials;

“Life-affirming…sums up the up the whole ethos and ultimately the outcome of the training. Each insecurity, doubt, feeling of unworthiness, was addressed firstly in such a validating and empathetic way then were essentially debunked one after another. It felt like a genuine and authentic training in meeting and loving yourself. Because you are perfect the way you are.”

“Angus has anchored capacity to hold space for the range of human emotion, promoting respect and accountability, which enables genuine experiences of heart opening and personal growth.”

“ The amount of mindblown moments I had in this course, from the skeletal variation to the philosophy chats on Taoism. Has honestly been life changing”

“I loved how life affirming/changing the entire 10 days were. It truly changed my perception of how I not only practice yoga but how I carry myself and my actions through every day life”

“This training has cleared away a lifetime of body shame, which will pay dividends for the rest of my life. The value of this training goes well beyond monetary investment.”

“The knowledge that I have gained over the 100 hours of this training has completely flipped everything I thought I knew about yoga on its head (in the best way possible!) – and with that it has not only changed the way that I teach vinyasa but has changed the way that I practice entirely.”

“I have done hundreds of hours of Yoga Teacher Trainings, and despite always learning a lot, I never felt like I already had everything I needed. I would spend the entirety of the training trying to be the person I thought I ought to be, thinking the way yogic philosophy wants you to think, sitting in uncomfortable seats for hours of meditation, pushing my body into shapes it did not want to be in, and then feeling like I just wasn't trying hard enough if I couldn’t 'perform' the poses. There was not once, in this whole 100 hours, that I ever doubted my worth or how 'good at yoga' I was. Thank you for teaching me to value difference, not to treat it like a problem that needs solving and realigning."

“The container created allows for deep learning and bonding to occur in a space of openness and vulnerability. The depth of content from the anatomy and physiology (especially fascia) to the philosophy – there was nothing extraneous and it was all absolutely fascinating. The conversations sparked were wonderful”

"Mindblown!"
