Community Trauma Informed Yoga - FREE

Good Folk Yoga is pleased to offer FREE community yoga support for folks experiencing

trauma, chronic stress and nervous system misattunement.

Our community yoga classes acknowledge the neurological impacts of trauma, chronic

stress and nervous system misattunement (physical, psychological, emotional, complex),

and the high instances of folks experiencing a disconnection from their physical bodies. Our

approach is people-centred and explorative. We focus on what may or may not be felt,

noticing any sensations, and learning to make choices that begin to rebuild trust between

body and mind.

Over time, trauma informed yoga and movement classes, can help folks:

• regulate their nervous system

• reduce and better manage anxiety

• improve body awareness and tolerance for physical sensations

• increase psychological flexibility.
